Had a going away party for a co-worker and I ate my first donut in about 10 years, 3 pieces of pizza and a generous piece of chocolate cake. What inevitably followed was eater’s remorse, as I mentally chastised myself for such an egregious lapse in sound nutritional choices. But THEN…I remembered that I had planned a long run for the next day! My selections were transformed into “carb loading” fuel! I immediately felt much better.
