Lost and found

It reminded me of how serendipitous it was when I had lost the diamond out of my ring and found it again. Both times. Here’s the story:

I lost the diamond out of my engagement stone TWICE! The first time it was gone for a year, then was found in the back of my spice cupboard when I asked my daughter to clean the cabinet out…
The second time I lost it was when a friend noticed the empty setting as we sat in the mall food court waiting for the show to start next door. We had already purchased our tickets but were a bit early. I was sick, thinking the stone could be anywhere: the mall, the car, the theatre, home…Besides that, it was winter time, and there was snow and ice everywhere…shining like diamonds…yeah, impossible. We went into the theatre, saw the show (I don’t even remember what we saw, I was so distracted by my loss). Then, on the way out, I thought to myself, “If I lost it here in the theatre, when we came in to buy the tickets, this is my last chance to look for it.”  As I was walking out of the exit doors, I glanced over to the floor in the entrance doorway, and saw something glistening on the mat. I ran over and picked up the stone amongst all the feet tramping into the theatre. Miracle? Luck? Answer to prayer? Yep. Nope. and YES!
